Spain approves COVID booster shot for over 70s - (Fidelity via NewsPoints Desk)

  • Spain’s health ministry said Tuesday that the country has approved administering booster shots of Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for people 70 or over, as reported in Fidelity.

  • The ministry said Spain has fully vaccinated around 78% of its population, and authorised the booster shot from six months after people receive their second dose. 

  • Spain had previously authorised booster shots for cancer patients, nursing home residents and other vulnerable groups.
